Application FormGENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Complete and sign visa application form. 2. Attach two recent passport-size photos to application form. 3. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months at the time of submitting the application. 4. If employment is the purpose of your visit, please provide a letter of introduction from your employer or sponsor stating the purpose, position and duration of your employment and the stay. 5. Provide a letter of invitation if the purpose of the trip is visiting family or friends. 6. All tourists must furnish the details of their itinerary tours and places intended to visit in Afghanistan. (For safety reasons, all tourists are highly recommended to inform the concerned authorities in Afghanistan upon arrival). 7. Media personnel/journalists are required to provide an introduction letter stating the purpose, duration and places intended to visit in Afghanistan. (Media Personnel/journalists must contact Directorate of Media Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, located at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Char-rah e Malik Asghar, Shah Mahmood Ghazi Wat, Kabul – Afghanistan.) To download registration form or obtain more information about the Directorate of Media Relations in Afghanistan, follow this link: http://www.mfa.gov.af/media.asp IMPORTANT NOTE: Multiple Entry visas could only be obtained through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul – Afghanistan. (www.mfa.gov.af) Please note that the following visa types can be issued by the Embassy of Afghanistan in Egypt: • Single Entry Visa with three months of validity and 30 days duration of stay. • Tourist Visa with three months of validity and 30 days duration of stay. VISA PROCESSING FEE: The visa section runs on reciprocal base. Please contact the consular section for more information. VISA PROCESSING DURATION: • All visas can be processed within four working days only if the required documents are provided and that the terms and conditions are met.
